HOW TO GET THERE
BY PLANE
Airports		There are direct flights from many European cities to Barcelona. Mataró is half way between 2 airports (BCN and GRO), however most flights (including allconnecting flights from overseas) land in BCN: BCN: Barcelona airport    This is the main airport in the region, and is well served by public transportation: from the terminal you can walk to the train station and from there frequent trains take you directly to downtown Barcelona (about 30 minutes) or to Mataró (about 1 hour, ticket 3€). GRO: Girona airport  Located north of Mataró, it's the closest airport to Costa Brava. The low-cost RyanAir is basically the only airline flying to this airport, from other minor airports across Europe. Unless you plan to rent a car (Girona-Mataró by car is about 40 highway minutes), you will have to take a bus to Barcelona (about one hour, 10€), from there the underground to the train station, and then train to Mataró.
From the United States		From IAH you can fly to BCN, connecting in one of the main European airports (Frankfurt with Lufthansa, Paris with AirFrance, Amsterdam with KLM, London with British Airways, etc ...)Iberia offers other alternatives from the U.S., but they typically add a connection in Madrid.  A flight from IAH to BCN typically costs between 800 and 1200$.

HOW TO MOVE AROUND
Mataró		The shopping district and downtown, the church, the beach and the train station are all walking distance from Hotel Atenea. driving to Mataró, parking and walking to the church
From the Church to the Reception		We are providing a bus to the reception.   It will depart from the Church  following the Wedding Ceremony.   Please let us know if you are going to ride the bus. The bus holds 55 people it will make two drop off's after the reception: midnight and when it's over around 2:30 - 3:00 am. If you are planning to drive to the reception then follow this Map
Going to Barcelona		By train, about 30 minutes, they do not run all night.  Make sure you look at your trains arrival and departure times. Trains are fairly frequent (every 10-15 minutes during rush hours)
